Eine kleine Nachtmusik Serenata KV 525

Set in the evocative medieval setting, the concert traces the transition from the gallant sensibility of the mid-eighteenth century to the full maturity of Viennese Classicism. The opening is dedicated to Baldassarre Galuppi through two Concertos a quattro taken from the manuscripts preserved at the Estense Library in Modena: works that combine the melodic grace of the Venetian school with original harmonic solutions, suspended between contrapuntal memories and pre-Romantic intuitions. The figure of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart first emerges with the youthful Quartet in C major KV 157, composed in Milan in 1772 during his stay in Italy, and culminates in the very famous Serenade in G major KV 525 “Eine kleine Nachtmusik”. Originally conceived for convivial occasions, the work goes beyond the boundaries of entertainment music, offering a model of formal perfection entrusted to the Ensemble I Musicali Affetti led by Fabio Missaggia.
