Grandezze & Meraviglie • Festival Musicale Estense

Education & Knowledge

Over time, the festival has gained the necessary skills to propose various initiatives based around a younger audience, by including different teaching modalities and ways to approach early music

For the youngest

Out of all of the festival’s concerts, the ones taking place on Sunday morning (“ages 0-12 Musica Famliare”) are those dedicated to children with accompanying adults. This series is in collaboration with the Istituto Comprensivo 9-Scuola Cittadella

From primary school to university

Grandezze & Meraviglie offers various initiatives aimed at establishing interaction and dialogue with the newer generations: meetings, concert-lessons, educational tours, in collaboration with Memo (Scuola-Città itineraries) and various secondary schools (Scuola Ruini di Sassuolo, Scuola Muratori di Vignola, Liceo Sigonio di Modena) as well as Vecchi-Tonelli Conservatory.

The partnership with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia includes ticket discounts, subscriptions, curricular and extracurricular internship opportunities (which also allow students to obtain credits).

I linguaggi delle arti

Grandezze & Meraviglie adds “I Linguaggi delle Arti” to its concerts, these are yearly meetings dedicated to different topics for the general public.

In-person meetings and live streams explore various topics alongside music, art, cinema, literature and other subjects.

“I Linguaggi delle Arti” is curated by Enrico Bellei and Sonia Cavicchioli, in collaboration with UniMoRe (Adriana Orlandi), UniBo (Dipartimento di Filologia Classica e Italianistica), and the Accademia Nazionale di Scienze Lettere e Arti.
