SCARLATTI & IL FLAMENCO
Amaya Fernandez Pozuelo, clavicembalo
In collaboration with Marco Fodella Foundation
Amaya Fernandez Pozuelo presents pieces taken from Domenico Scarlatti’s vast production. Her explanations along the concert will enable the spectators to understand better the complexity of Scarlatti’s harpsichord production. His music entails two soul: one is more sophisticated and the other is more folkloristic, drawing upon lively gipsy-Andalusian melodies. Two distinguishing elements which characterize his Sonate are: a hand, pulsating rhythm and melodies which express themselves more freely. Scarlatti’s work had a deep influence on Spanish music scene of the time and changed it consistently.
