Among the numerous testimonies of this golden age of Italian violinism, today preserved in the Biblioteca Estense of Modena, the manuscript sonatas of Giuseppe Colombi (1634-1694) and Carlo Ambrogio Lonati (ca.1645 &#8211; ca.1710) stand out.
