Has man\u2019s attitude towards death remained unchanged in the course of time, or have the sentiments and attitudes towards this eminent presence slowly, over the centuries, profoundly changed?There are many aspects that have contributed (and contribute) to change our relationship with death: the perception that man has of past, present and future time, and the relationship that is established with it. Romanticism introduces a particular fascination, but also some disturbing aspects of the human soul appear, aspects that the nascent psychiatry highlights, studies, classifies and treats. And what about the presence of cemeteries in the cities and their subsequent repositioning in the open countryside, where the living, deliberately, still go to visit them today?
