The concert is about an anthology of pieces from the great tradition of the Chapels of Modena and Bologna, performed by the modern choir of the Cappella Musicale della Basilica di S. Petronio, with the direction of Michele Vannelli. For 500 years the Cappella Musicale di San Petronio has continued the Bolognese tradition of music in the Basilica of the same name, celebrating the music that was composed, often by Modenese authors, such as Giovanni Bononcini (1670-1747) and Antonio Maria Pacchioni (1654-1738).
