In music, the instruments and the human voice live an incessant and mutual exchange of roles. The cornet, a difficult and virtuosic instrument, appears as the closest to the “human voice”, and the organ among its registers has one of the same name. Instruments without words, but that get close to their meaning, and respond fully to the “modern” value of the Baroque feeling. Between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, the word takes on a fundamental importance in music.
