Trois cents ans après sa mort, la figure d’Arcangelo Corelli continue de jouer un rôle de grande importance dans l’histoire musicale des XVIIe et XVIIIe siècle, et sa musique ne cesse d’être un point de repère esthétique et didactique essentiel.
Des générations de musiciens et de compositeurs ont reconnu et admiré la grandeur de l’œuvre de Corelli, élevant la production musicale du maître de Fusignano au rang de modèle formel et stylistique. Si la recherche s’est souvent focalisée sur les aspects historico-biographiques, l’influence de l’héritage musical de Corelli rend essentielle une analyse complète de l’œuvre instrumentale et des caractéristiques distinctives de sa musique. Le colloque a pour but de présenter les études les plus récentes sur la figure de Corelli et d’encourager la recherche de perspectives innovantes liées, en particulier, aux aspects et aux problèmes de l’exécution musicale et de l’analyse des caractéristiques stylistiques distinctives du langage corellien.

Les communications présentées au Congrès International Arcomelo 2013 seront accueillies dans un volume faisant l’objet d’une évaluation par les pairs et qui sera publié l’année prochaine par la Libreria Musicale Italiana (LIM). Ceux qui souhaitent présenter des propositions après le délai de l’appel, ou en dehors des travaux du colloque sont priés d’envoyer un résumé détaillé au plus tard le 31 janvier 2014 à l’adresse arcomelo2013@gmail.com, précisant la longueur approximative et la date exacte d’envoi de leur essai.
