Ridotto del Teatro Comunale
SCARLATTI & IL FLAMENCO
Amaya Fernandez Pozuelo, clavicembalo
In Domenico Scarlatti’s huge cembalistic production, two souls coexist: one that tends to be aristocratic, and the other that we might call popular. In his Sonate two elements can be essentially distinguished: the rhythmic element and the melodic element. This model had such force as to be unanimously adopted by the contemporary Iberian musical world. The popular Scarlattian soul is marked by the influence of the gypsy-Andalusian world that enphasizes and characterizes some of its compositions. Over the tracks’ execution, the concert includes illustration with extemporaneous explanations and examples, which enrich the already renowned production of Domenico Scarlatti.
